The Ohio community is mourning the tragic death of Hunter R. Ferguson, who was killed in a devastating multi-vehicle accident involving several motorcycles and a car. Ferguson was one of two people who died in the crash, which occurred on State Route 850 in Gallia County, Ohio.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the serious collision at approximately 2:27 p.m. Saturday near milepost 1 of State Route 850. The crash involved six vehicles and resulted in a complex chain of collisions that ultimately claimed the lives of two motorcycle riders.
Investigators said a car was traveling north on State Route 850 when it was struck by two motorcycles traveling south. The initial impact triggered a series of additional collisions. Following the first crash, the car reportedly spun and struck a third motorcycle, turning the incident into a multi-vehicle accident.
Two additional motorcycles were also involved in the incident. According to authorities, one motorcycle attempted to avoid the developing crash by traveling off the right side of the roadway. That motorcycle ultimately entered a ditch. Another motorcycle was reportedly struck by debris generated during the collisions.
The two riders who were operating the motorcycles that initially struck the car were identified as Brandon C.L. Sias and Hunter R. Ferguson. Both men suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallia County Coroner’s Office.
Ferguson’s death has left family members, friends, and others who knew him facing an unimaginable loss. For those closest to him, the circumstances surrounding his passing are difficult to comprehend, particularly because the crash happened suddenly and involved a chain of events that unfolded within moments.
The other motorists involved in the accident reportedly sustained minor injuries. Emergency responders and law enforcement personnel worked at the scene following the collision as authorities began documenting what happened.
The investigation into the crash is expected to focus on the sequence of events leading to the initial collision and the factors that contributed to the subsequent impacts. Additional details may become available as investigators complete their work.
For Ferguson’s loved ones, however, the focus is now on remembering his life rather than the circumstances of his death. A sudden loss leaves family and friends with memories of the person they knew, the experiences they shared, and the moments that can never be recreated.
The death of Hunter Ferguson, along with Brandon Sias, has brought profound sadness to those affected by the tragedy. Their passing is a painful reminder of how quickly a journey on the road can become a life-changing event.
As the community mourns, condolences are extended to the families and friends of Hunter R. Ferguson and Brandon C.L. Sias, as well as everyone affected by the devastating State Route 850 crash. Those who knew Ferguson will continue to remember him and honor his life while his loved ones navigate the difficult days ahead.
