Aaron Blevins Jr., a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, is being remembered by his family, friends, classmates, and the wider Jennings County community following his passing. Born on January 3, 2010, in Columbus, Aaron was the son of Aaron Blevins Sr. and Suzanna “Susie” (Mullis) Little.
Aaron was a junior at Jennings County High School, where he was known as a young person with many interests, ambitions, and plans for the future. He also attended the welding program at Versailles Career Center, developing practical skills in a field he genuinely enjoyed. His interest in welding reflected his hands-on personality and his desire to build a meaningful future for himself.
After graduating from high school, Aaron had hoped to serve his country by joining either the United States Navy or the United States Air Force. That goal was an important part of the future he envisioned for himself, and his family will remember the dreams and aspirations he carried with him.
Outside of school, Aaron enjoyed spending time with activities that brought him happiness. He was a member of the JCHS Game Club and had previously been involved with Boy Scout Troop #536. He enjoyed Legos and PlayStation, as well as welding, which allowed him to combine creativity with practical skills. Aaron also had a special love for animals, a quality that reflected his caring and gentle nature.
Aaron leaves behind a large and loving family who will carry his memory forward. He is survived by his father, Aaron (Marly) Blevins Sr. of North Vernon, and his mother, Susie (Justin) Little of Seymour. He is also survived by his brothers, Jackson Little of Seymour and Tyler Mullikin of North Vernon; and his sisters, Brynnaleigh Blevins of North Vernon, Kenzi Little of Seymour, and Taryn Hook and Kiera Ross, both of North Vernon.
His surviving grandparents include Sharon and Rodney Hubbard of North Vernon, Tammy Lorance of North Vernon, Paula and Sam Day of Columbus, Lester and Viola Little of Commiskey, and Joseph Blevins of Brownstown. Aaron is also survived by his great-grandparent, Linda Treadway of Scipio, along with several cousins, including Charlie, Chris, and Kaiser.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wayne Mullis; great-grandfather, Larry Treadway; and great-grandparents, Jack and Diane Blevins.
A funeral service celebrating Aaron’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Rev. Terry Branham will officiate. Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Aaron’s passing leaves an immeasurable sense of loss for those who knew and loved him. His family, classmates, teachers, and friends will remember his interests, his hopes for the future, his love of animals, and the many memories created during his young life. Though his life was far too short, Aaron’s memory will remain with the people who loved him most.
