It is with profound sadness that family and friends are mourning the sudden passing of Harrison Campbell, who died as the result of a car accident on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the age of 41. His unexpected death has left an enormous void in the lives of the many people who knew, loved, and cherished him.
Harrison was the beloved son of Carol Campbell and the late Alex Campbell and a dearly loved brother to Jake (Krystal) and Caitlin (Dave). He will also be deeply missed by Aunt Cathy and Uncle Steve, Uncle Jim and Caterina, Aunt Maureen, his cousins, and his many close friends. He leaves behind a family and community filled with memories of a life marked by adventure, humor, friendship, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Two places held a particularly special place in Harrison’s heart: the family farm in Mt. Brydges and Shirrock Island on Elephant Lake near Haliburton. These locations represented the outdoor lifestyle he enjoyed so much and provided countless opportunities for him to spend time with the people and activities he loved.
Harrison had a genuine passion for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the water, where he could relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. He was also an enthusiastic skier, enjoying both snow skiing and water skiing. His adventurous spirit extended into his professional life as well. Harrison started his own arborist company, a career that allowed him to work outdoors and pursue his love of climbing.
Those who knew Harrison will remember far more than his interests and accomplishments. He had a distinctive twinkle in his eye and a wonderful sense of humor that could bring laughter to those around him. His ability to make people smile and his warm personality helped him form many strong friendships throughout his life.
Harrison was especially adored by his two nieces, Charlotte and Emma. The bond they shared was deeply meaningful, and his absence will be felt as they grow and continue through the milestones of their lives. His family will carry the memories of the time they shared with him and the love he gave so freely.
His passing has brought tremendous sadness to everyone who knew him. While his life ended far too soon, Harrison leaves behind a legacy of adventure, laughter, family, friendship, and cherished memories. The people who loved him will continue to remember the moments that made him uniquely Harrison.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to visit at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St., London, Ontario, on Wednesday, August 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at First-St. Andrew’s United Church, 350 Queen St. Ave., on Thursday, August 27, at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at the London Club, 177 Queens Ave., London.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a favorite charity in Harrison’s memory. Such a gesture would provide an opportunity to honor his life while supporting a cause meaningful to those who wish to remember him.
Harrison Campbell will be deeply missed, but the love shared with his family and friends, along with the memories of his adventurous spirit and joyful personality, will remain in their hearts.
